Our Programs
Children are naturally curious, capable and excited to learn. They need a school that nurtures their curiosity and encourages them to discover their own path.
For six decades, Rogers Park Montessori School has guided children as they grow into independent thinkers, curious citizens, and empathetic leaders. Our belief in how children learn best has never been more relevant. We’re built for this moment.
Here, learning happens independently and together in multi-age classrooms. Children build confidence as they work at their own pace.
Here, learning reflects the way children naturally engage with the world through hands-on exploration, meaningful work, and joyful discovery. They learn to ask better questions in an age of instant answers.
Here, children grow from curious toddlers into thoughtful young adults prepared to navigate high school — and the wider world — with confidence, curiosity, and purpose.

A: Toddler serves children who are 2 by September 1 and typically turn 3 during the school year or the following summer. Children’s House brings together ages 3 through 6 and includes Kindergarten. Lower Elementary covers grades 1–3, Upper Elementary covers grades 4–6, and Aspen Middle School serves grades 7 and 8.
A: Mixed-age classrooms give children time to grow within a community instead of starting over every fall. Younger students learn by watching what older classmates can do. Later, they become the experienced students who explain a process, model a routine, or lend a hand. Teachers follow each child’s individual progress throughout the cycle, so age does not limit the work a student is ready to pursue.
A: Yes. Lower and Upper Elementary students may arrive as early as 7:30 a.m. and remain in aftercare until 6 p.m. Early arrival is enrolled and billed as one five-day option. Aftercare is more flexible: families may select two, three, four, or five afternoons per week. Scheduling options for Toddler and Children’s House differ and are outlined on those program pages.
